Faculty/Staff Study Privilege

All credit courses offered through CSU OnlinePlus are eligible for the Faculty/Staff Study Privilege benefit.

Registration

Complete the Faculty/Staff Study Privilege registration form (pdf) and send to:

You must submit the Study Privilege form each semester you intend to register for a course. Study Privilege forms must be submitted no later than the first day of classes for the term. Late or incomplete forms will not be considered.

Tuition and Fees

For the 2011-2012 academic year, the University will cover tuition costs for up to 9 credits for study privilege-eligible CSU employees. Also covered are program charges, University facility fee, and general fees. Ineligible expenses include undergraduate tuition normally covered by the College Opportunity Fund and special course fees.

You are responsible for any remaining balance due after the 9-credit study privilege benefit is applied as well as any additional course fees and course material costs such as textbooks and study guides. The University Study Privilege has no cash value.

Tax Information

Educational benefits which exceed $5,250/year may be deemed taxable in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code. Any taxable educational benefits received will be reflected on your December pay advice. For more information, see the FAQ attached to the study privilege form.
