Benefits of online courses

  • Study from wherever you are: The online courses are offered asynchronously
  • Earn the same credits as students on campus: The online pre-health courses are taught by CSU faculty and cover the same content as their on-campus course equivalents

Can I receive a pre-health degree program/certification and is financial aid available?

You have three options to take these courses online:

  • No financial aid available:
    • Take the courses as a non-admitted student
    • Non-admitted students are not earning a degree/certification
  • Financial aid is available:
    • Be admitted to an online bachelor’s degree program with CSU and take these online courses as a part of your degree program
    • Be admitted to an on-campus/residential instruction bachelor’s degree program with CSU and take these online courses as part of your degree program (please note differences in on-campus vs. online tuition rates)

Do I need to apply?

  • If you want to take these courses as a non-admitted student, you do not need to apply to CSU; please set up an account on the CSU Online website in order to register for coursework
  • If you want to use financial aid, you would need to apply and be admitted to a bachelor’s degree program with CSU to use financial aid

Will these courses help me get into medical school/vet school/dental school, or any other health-based graduate degree?

  • First consult the graduate program you wish to apply for to understand their pre-requisite coursework requirements
  • Then compare the requirements you need to what we offer online
  • It is the student’s responsibility to connect to your intended graduate program(s) to ensure that they will accept the CSU coursework for their pre-requisites requirements
