The day-to-day practice of mindfulness offers a variety of benefits to overall well-being, often helping people build more emotional and mental resilience. Mindfulness practice can help people better regulate their emotions in the face of stressful and/or unexpected events. It can also improve a person’s ability to handle crises or adjust behavior to better overcome challenges.

About Sue Schneider, Ph.D.

Sue is a medical anthropologist and Certified Integrative Health Coach. She is also an Extension Professor and State Health Specialist in CSU's Office of Engagement and Extension, where she provides leadership and builds strategic partnerships for Extension's health initiatives across Colorado.
