Jim LoPresti, Ph.D., PCC, Founder, CohereUs Consulting Int'l

Jim LoPresti, Ph.D., has worked in both corporate and academic worlds, blending practice and theory, for more than 35 years. He brings proven expertise to his clients in executive coaching, negotiation skills/conflict resolution, leadership through storytelling, resilience and stress management, team building, senior management alignment, introducing and leveraging change, and cultural transformation. With a strong foundation in emotional/social intelligence, he successfully incorporates right and left brain methodologies and neuroplasticity into highly analytical business environments to help inspire "big picture" perspectives.

LoPresti has worked with a broad range of audiences, such as "C" suite executive leaders, senior and middle managers, front line workers, and executive MBA and undergraduate students. Some of the industries in which LoPresti has employed his consulting and facilitation skills include large multinational and medium-sized corporations, private equity firms, academia, information technology, construction, pharmaceuticals and health care, and government. Some of Jim's clients include: Comcast, Johns-Manville, Century-Link, RJ Reynolds, Sanofi/Adventis Int'l, SAP, UCAR, Oracle, Colorado Dept. of Higher Education, and the National Science Foundation.

In 2011, LoPresti collaborated with a small team of professional consultants/executive coaches to develop a year-long leadership program for "C" suite executives in Denver, Colorado. From that effort, the Men's Leadership Ascent was born. In 2014, he was contracted to develop a leadership institute for the American University of Rome, where he lived for one year. In the corporate arena, LoPresti has held diverse leadership roles, including City Manager for People Express Airlines, Senior Services Manager for Sun Microsystems, and Distance Learning Manager and Senior Performance Analyst in education and training for Lucent Technologies.

LoPresti holds a doctorate in literature from the University of Denver and is a certified professional coach through the International Coach Federation. He was a major contributor to both the first and second editions of Management: A Focus on Leadership by Annie McKee for Pearson/Prentice Hall. Currently, he is a senior instructor at the Business School of the University of Colorado Denver, as well as an independent management/leadership consultant.
