Before applying to the degree program, it is strongly recommended that you contact the program coordinator well in advance of the application deadline to understand and fulfill all requirements.

Minimum Admission Requirements
The Organizational Performance and Change (M.Ed.) degree requires applicants to have the following:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution.
- At least five years of professional experience.
- GRE scores are not required.
Note that meeting the minimum department standards does not ensure admission to the program. Admission to Colorado State University graduate programs is based on a number of factors, including prior academic and professional experience and the personal statement.
Before your application for graduate study is considered, all application materials must be received by the department.
Step 1 – Apply Online
- Complete the online
graduate application form and pay the $50 application
fee (payable online with a major credit card).
- Select “Educ & Hum Res Studies MED/Orgnztl Prfrm & Change - Distance” when choosing the program of study.
Step 2 – Submit Application Materials
Gather all of the following materials and submit electronically through the School of Education Graduate Online Application.
- Statement of Purpose
Include in your statement:- Summary of long-term professional or personal goals.
- Statement regarding your educational goals.
- Statement indicating how this education will contribute to your long-term goals.
- List of factors that led you to consider Colorado State for graduate study.
- Three Letters of Recommendation
Written by individuals in at least two of the following categories:- Previous or current college/university instructors.
- Previous or current immediate professional supervisors.
- Observers, other than supervisors, who can verify the specific impact of your professional or intellectual expertise. Letters from friends, coworkers, relatives, or character witnesses will be considered only supplemental to the three required references.
- Current Resume
- Record of all collegiate work, including names of institutions, periods of attendance, and degrees earned.
- Record of all professional employment including dates of service (including military).
- List of any special skills or competencies (including certifications and licensures).
- List of publications, exhibitions, prizes, awards, or other recognition.
- List of service activities, including community and charitable.
Step 3 – Send Official Transcripts
Provide one official transcript of all collegiate work completed from every institution attended, whether or not you received a degree from those institutions. Transcripts from Colorado State University are not required.

Ensure official copies include a certified translation into English (only one set of transcripts is required). - Official TOEFL Scores
Submit official TOEFL scores through the Educational Testing Service (select institution code: 4075). In general, all applicants from countries in which English is not the official language, and who do not have an undergraduate degree from a country in which the official language is English (Canada, U.K., Australia, USA, New Zealand, etc.), must submit TOEFL scores. The minimum score for applicants is 550 (213 on the computer-based test).

Designed for
Individuals preparing for roles and responsibilities within the mid-management and operational levels of business and industry, government, military, medical, social service, and nonprofit organizations to grow and develop a workforce and to work as change agents within an organization.
What you will earn
You will earn the same regionally-accredited Colorado State University degree that a student on the Fort Collins campus is awarded. Your diploma and transcript are identical to those awarded to on-campus students.
