Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State Continuing Education

Degree Overview

Colorado State University's highly-regarded Organizational Performance and Change (OPC) master's degree is currently being revised to better meet the needs of today's working professional, to ensure that the program utilizes the latest research on organizational development, change management, and performance improvement, and to provide relevant learning that enables students to make valuable impacts at their workplaces. The new curriculum and delivery method is expected to be announced in June 2012.

Course topics may include:

  • Human resource and organizational development
  • Diagnosing the need for organizational change
  • Enhancing performance systems
  • Facilitating change
  • Performance consulting
  • Planning and implementing change in organizations
  • Developing and implementing workplace learning
  • Evaluating learning and change interventions

Our faculty use student-led group discussions, lectures, readings, research, and writings in their courses. Assignments develop the critical thinking skills through projects that are problem-focused, practically applied, and theory-to-practice oriented. Students engage in projects and assignments that require the practical application of their learning to real workplace issues and challenges. This gives students the opportunity to produce viable, immediate solutions for their employers and to immediately increase their strategic acumen and credibility.

We also offer an Organizational Performance and Change doctorate program. Visit the OPC Ph.D. website for more information.
