Industry expert and tenured faculty member, Dr. Thomas Johnson, C.H.P., earned his M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern, and his doctorate in Health Physics from Purdue. Dr. Thomas also holds several professional certifications, including certified laser safety officer, comprehensive certification from the American Board of Health Physics, National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists, and is a Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
He has been a health physics professor in CSU's Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences since 2005, has been published in countless journals, and authored several books, including Health Physics textbooks. Dr. Johnson's research is focused on safety and laser injury recovery and the acute effects of ionizing radiation.
