HSBB 2501 - Overview of Disabilities

The Overview of Developmental Disabilities course will focus on the six most common types of Developmental Disabilities—a group of conditions due to cognitive or physical impairments affecting learning, language, or behavior.

Participants will
• Expand their knowledge of common developmental disabilities, including: Learning Disability, Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Tourette Syndrome
• Become more informed of behaviors considered typical for each of the most common developmental disabilities
• Understand the importance of confidentiality, and use of person first language

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.

Please note that there are no refunds for open entry courses.
