BSBB 3102 - Organizational Creativity and Innovation

Building a culture that promotes, embodies and rewards creativity and innovation requires intentionality, alignment with purpose and authentic connections to the core ethos, mission, vision and values of an organization. This course introduces the principles that help to establish culture building inside an organization. The differences between continuous improvement and innovation are highlighted, as well as redefined roles of creativity and innovation from every person at every position in any organization. External needs for creating client and customer experiences (personal, memorable, and connected) and reimagined products and services are featured. Lastly, be introduced to a new thinking tool, Innovation On Purpose, that can be applied to these needs for creative and inventive solutions to problems, challenges and future visions.

Ed Goodman, instructor for this series, is known as an inventive thinker, visionary and creatively-oriented technical and management professional. Ed’s career has spanned the fields of experience design, marketing, strategic planning, engineering, land planning, education, television/media production, entertainment and non-profit think tank management. He has over 30 years of interdisciplinary problem-solving experience, with consistent effectiveness in ideation and implementation of optimal solutions. Ed crafted new thinking models known as the Challenge-Solution Model, the Visioneering Process, Creative Dreamscaping and is a co-creator with Dave Goodman of the Spiral Thinking Theory and author of the new ebook, “Creating The New American Dream – The Spiral Renaissance Theory.” He is a co-founder of The MindShare Network, The Global Network for Dreams, Hope and Life Activation.
