GSLL 3005 - Collaborative Knowledge Creation

Teams need to solve problems collaboratively to get ahead. Learn what predicts team creativity and why it can be so hard to ideate together. Explore first ideas supporting your team’s collaborative creativity,  practice creativity techniques and discover the strengths and pitfalls of collaborative knowledge creation in community settings.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.

Dr. Jennifer Cross

Dr. Jennifer E. Cross, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department Sociology, Director of Research at the Institute for the Built Environment, and Co-Director of the Center for Energy and Behavior at Colorado State University. She is a community sociologist, conducting research with and for community partners to solve community problems and improve quality of life. Her current research is funded by the U.S. EPA. That study examines the impact of green schools on student and teacher performance and health. At the university, she has also been involved in studies of high-impact teaching practices and the role of project-based learning on long-term learning outcomes.

Verena Knerich is a PhD student at Colorado State University and Ludwig-Maximillians University of Munich. I am fascinated by understanding how we can overcome differences. What are the processes that facilitate understanding across boundaries? How do teams and individuals work with diversity? What are the processes that drive prosocial behavior change?
