EDUC 628 - Models of Teaching

The daily challenge for every teacher is to adapt their instruction to students with varied learning styles and special needs. This course offers 14 models which can be used to enhance the development of thinking skills, collaborative skills, and creativity as well as mastery. Using the leading research on teaching and learning, major instructional theories and strategies for facilitating cognitive and affective growth will be presented. Assignments and final exam.

This course has print-based exams that require a proctor. A Proctor Agreement Form will be required. ProctorU is not available for this course.

Prerequisite

Must be enrolled in one of the following levels: professional or graduate.

Important Information

Students must be accepted into the Teacher Licensure and Master of Education program to take this class.

Section 702 is for the Fossil Ridge Cohort.

Section 703 is for the Windsor Cohort.

Section 704 is for the Early Childhood Education Cohort.

Dr. Lyons is an energetic, ambitious learning facilitator with over 16 years teaching experience combined with 15 years experience in computer science and business. Her major strengths are in the areas of facilitation, communication, organization, and team building.
