Fire and Emergency Services Administration Certificate

Fire and Emergency Services

Certificate Overview

Increase your knowledge and skills as a manager, leader, and administrator in fire and emergency services with this undergraduate certificate program. During this five-course program, you will learn the critical concepts and evolving skills required to successfully perform administrative and managerial roles in emergency service organizations.

The FESA certificate is one of the very few certificate programs in the country that focuses on the administrative aspects of fire and emergency services. It builds on your basic fire and emergency skills and experience, providing you with additional training to help you take your career to the next level. Coursework covers:

  • Management and administration
  • Public policy
  • Emergency management
  • Legal area of the fire and emergency services field

With the flexibility of distance learning, you can fit your classes around your schedule and earn college credit without moving or quitting your job. In this program, you will learn from highly qualified instructors who are experts in fire and emergency services administration and network with others in your field from around the world.

This certificate is a companion to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Fire and Emergency Services Administration degree. The credits completed as part of this certificate can be applied toward the degree after formal admission per University transfer policies. However, successful completion of the courses or certificate does not guarantee admission to the degree program.

This program is ideal for working professionals who are not in a position to pursue a bachelor's degree, already have a bachelor's degree, or want to acquire transferable college credit for later application toward a bachelor's degree in fire and emergency services administration.
