SOC 482B - Travel Abroad: Crime and Deviance

  • 3 credits

This course examines crime and deviance in an international context, with a particular focus on Eastern Euope and the Czech Republic. We will explore what international/comparative criminology is and address a number of crime problems and issues that are specific to the region of interest. This will include an exploration of the nature and extent of crime and a specialized focus on: human trafficking, domestic violence, drugs, miniority crime and social justice, war crimes and the holocaust.
