This course explores individuals’ lived experiences through the lens of foundational sociological concepts. Students will learn to understand their own lives and the lives of others in new ways through applying concepts such as social norms, stigma, culture shock, assimilation, alienation, and intersectionality.
This course meets the All-University Core Curriculum (AUCC) requirements for Social/Behavioral Sciences (Category 3C) and is approved under gtPathways in the content area of Human Behavior, Culture, or Social Frameworks (GT-SS3).
