This course focuses on the examination of modern theories of effective leadership and design of strategies for succession planning and leadership development through training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

James is an alumnus of Appalachian State University and Colorado State University. James' research interests include employee motivation, organizational culture and organizational change. At present, James teaches Fundamentals of Management in the College of Business at Colorado State, and also works as a project manager on a National Science Foundation grant actively managing organizational change and culture. James' consulting experiences have focused on leadership development and assessment centers.
