NRRT 637 - Leadership, Management, and Protected Areas

Explore and contrast key leadership, management concepts, and approaches in the protected area context. Critical topics covered in case studies and coursework include team cohesion and leadership development, inclusivity and equity, the role of volunteers and managing volunteer programs, institutional hiring options, and the role of capacity development. Emerging leadership/management topics linked to protected area management are considered.

Prerequisite

NRRT 631 (Protected Area Planning and Management) or concurrent registration; Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate (GR) OR Professional (PR)

Important Information

Required admission to the Master of Park and Protected Area Management program.
