MATH 125 - Numerical Trigonometry (GT-MA1)

Definition and graphs of trigonometric functions, laws of sines and cosines, solutions of right and oblique triangles, applications.

This course requires the use of electronic proctoring ProctorU or ProctorTrack as determined by the course faculty. This course meets the All-University Core Curriculum (AUCC) requirements for Mathematics (Category 1B) and is approved under gtPathways in the content area of Mathematics (GT-MA1).


MATH 118 (College Algebra in Context II) (GT-MA1) or Mathematics Placement Examination or Mathematics Challenge Examination required.

Degree-seeking students: Course registration eligibility is determined based on official transcripts you submit during the admissions process.

Nondegree-seeking students: To receive approval to complete this course (1) email unofficial transcripts to Steve Benoit (include in your email you are submitting transcripts to determine math placement), or (2) complete the Math Placement Exam.

Textbook and Materials


PACe Program Access Code can be purchased from the CSU Bookstore. Provides access to MATH 117, 118, 124, 125, and 126 for one registered student during one semester. Enrolling in more than one of these courses does NOT require multiple access codes. The CSU bookstore can e-mail or fax codes purchased on credit cards or on student accounts to distance students.
