Dani Castillo has been In the creative and design industry for over two decades; she has cultivated a rich career marked by a profound commitment to teaching. With a deep passion for sharing knowledge, Dani embarked on the journey of education, firmly believing in its enduring significance in her professional trajectory. Dani's dedication to teaching remains unwavering. She’s celebrated 20th teaching anniversary in August 2020 and commemorated a decade at CSU in August 2021.

Dani's academic journey includes earning a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Journalism from Technólogico de Monterrey in Mexico City, an M.A. in Multimedia from California State University East Bay, and an M.A. in Interactive Design and Video Game Development from Savannah College of Art & Design.

Dani initiated her teaching career at CSU East Bay post-graduate studies and then secured a tenure-track position at Cañada College in Redwood City, contributing nearly a decade to the Multimedia Art department. She relocated to Colorado in 2010 and has been an integral part of the faculty in the Journalism & Media Communication department at Colorado State University. She currently resides in Fort Collins with her husband Peter, their daughter Sabine, Luna the dog and Sage the cat. Dani finds joy in technology, creativity, camping, river picnics, cooking, gardening, and actively engages in crafting and art.
