This course serves as an introduction to graduate level learning and the Adult Education and Training M.Ed. specialization. During this course students will be introduced to concepts and resources that will help them to succeed during their tenure in the AET program. They will also begin work on capstone portfolio projects, which they will continue to develop throughout the program.

Kalpana Gupta received her Ed.D. in Adult & Post-Secondary Education from the University of Wyoming. Dr. Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Adult Education and Training program and brings previous experience as an adjunct Professor in Adult Education programs at Regis University in Denver, where she was also interim Department Chair, the University of Wyoming, and the University of Central Oklahoma. Her research areas of interest include faculty development, creating inclusive learning environments, accelerated learning, neuroscience, and transformative learning. She specializes in curriculum and program design and hybrid and online delivery methods. Dr. Gupta looks forward to collaborating with students and colleagues to contribute to the literature, promote effective teaching and learning for adult learners, and to elicit the personal and professional development of every individual.
