Students will learn basic components of an integrated ERP system including types of products, functionality, and software solutions in the marketplace; risks associated with ERP implementation; they will gain introductory level of expertise with SAP and understand the MRP process; students will gain an appreciation for the principles of good HCI design and the strategic purpose of an ERP system.

This course can be applied towards:
Admission to the M.B.A., M.C.I.S., M.S.B.A., or M.E. program. Credit not allowed for both CIS 601 and MGT 601.
If applicable, active-duty military, veterans, federal, state and corporate employees must contact the College of Business to receive the tuition reduction code prior to registering for any classes. Reduction of tuition will not be given if you do not provide the code at the time of enrollment. Unfortunately, retroactive reductions are not possible.

Charles A. P. Smith is a Professor in the Department of Computer Information Systems. Smith attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology to earn his Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Science from the University of Arizona.
