KaceeJarnotI was raised in New Mexico, graduating in 2002 with a bachelor of science in communication with an emphasis in public relations from Eastern New Mexico University.; After graduation, I served as a budget and policy analyst for the Legislative Finance Committee in the State of New Mexico, providing legislative funding to economic development and health-related state agencies based on performance. From there, I became the Chief Financial Officer for the New Mexico Tourism Department. After managing a $14.5 million budget for a year, I decided on a career change and applied to the Student Affairs in Higher Education program at Colorado State University. I graduated in 2009 and am currently serving as the Assistant Director of Parent and Family Programs and as an instructor in the President's Leadership Program. In terms of the SAHE program, I co-teach the Trends, Issues, and Assessment course with Dave McKelfresh and the Working with Students' Parents and Families workshop with Jody Donovan.

Outside of work I enjoy time with my family — my partner (and BFF) Mark and extended friends and family in New Mexico. My other loves are running and reading.
