Extension Education Master of Extension Education (M.Ext.Ed.)

Learning Experience

This online program offers short presentations and lectures that are supplemented by assignments and readings. Participate in discussion board conversations with professors and fellow students, and communicate with professors through email and online office hours.

Online degree programs allow you to learn when and where it is most convenient for you. While this degree offers flexibility, it still requires a commitment of time and attention. It is recommended that you plan to spend nine to twelve hours per week on a three-credit course, though the time required will vary depending on your learning style.

The program is self-paced and self-directed: you determine your own timeline for completing the degree. This may be influenced by your own personal responsibilities and career commitments, but will also be affected by the schedule of course offerings and your previous coursework. The program can be completed in two years, and the University requires that coursework being applied to a graduate degree be completed within ten years.
