Computer Science Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (B.S.)

• Previous college credit must be transferred into the online computer science bachelor's degree completion program, and minimum credits required can vary depending on previous coursework completed.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher from all prior university coursework
• Satisfy admission requirement in mathematics
• High school graduation or equivalent
• Grades of C or better in the following courses or their equivalent:
• One semester of the equivalent to Computer Science 1: Programming (CS 163 or 164*) AND
• One semester of the equivalent to Calculus in Physical Sciences (MATH 160*) or the equivalent to Computer Science 2: Data Structures CS 165

*Calculus courses not equivalent to Math 160 and programming courses in Java, JavaScript, C, C#, or C++ not equivalent to CS 163 or CS 164 will satisfy the competitive entrance requirements but may not meet graduation requirements within the major.

Degree completion program applicants are held to the same University admission standards as applicants for on-campus degree programs.

Complete Colorado State University's online undergraduate application and pay the $50 nonrefundable application processing fee (payable online).

• Select "Computer Science — online degree program" when choosing major.

Online applications must be submitted before 5 p.m. (Mountain Time) on the deadline date. If you miss the application deadline, you may still register for courses to begin your program of study as a non-degree student. Students seeking Federal financial aid must be admitted prior to enrolling.

Official transcripts/translation

• A final, official transcript reflecting graduation is required of all applicants. Only transcripts sent directly from the school or stamped and sealed will be considered official.
• If a record is not in English, a certified literal English translation must accompany the transcript.
• High school or secondary school reports are not required for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and wish to pursue a second bachelor's degree.
• Faxed transcripts are not accepted.

Official test scores

Colorado State University requires that proficiency in English language be demonstrated either by the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE academic tests prior to admission. Please submit one of the official scores from the list below. Tests must be taken within two years prior to admission and submitted directly from the Educational Testing Service (select institution code: 4075).

• The minimum TOEFL score for admission without condition is 550 (paper-based), or 80 (internet-based).
• The minimum IELTS score for admission without condition is 6.5.
• The minimum PTE Academic score for admission without condition is 58.

In general, all applicants from countries in which English is not the official language, and who do not have an undergraduate degree from a country in which the official language is English (Canada, U.K., Australia, USA, New Zealand, etc.), must submit one of the official test scores from the list above.
