VMLL 1081 - Skin and Reconstructive Surgery

This advanced surgical training course is designed for small animal surgery residents who are preparing for board certification examinations, and planning a career as specialty surgeons. The focus of this course is on skin and reconstructive surgery, and it will be taught by a series of senior specialty faculty members, who are nationally and internationally renowned for their contributions to this clinical discipline.

The curriculum is diverse, and covers many aspects of skin, reconstructive, and oncologic disease, including wound healing , wound management, skin graft and flaps, unique oncologic surgery, orofacial surgery, ear surgery, distal limb injury, and surgery of the eye and orbit. The lectures are supplemented by full course notes and additional reading, and paired with the online examinations this course represents an outstanding opportunity for training and board preparation. Only the small animal focus of this course will be offered online.
