In the closing weeks of 2015, nearly 190 Muslim employees walked-out of their jobs at Cargill’s Fort Morgan facility. At issue was a dispute surrounding religious accommodations in the workplace.
This talk will explore: 1) the political and legal context of the event; 2) the contested accounts of the initial incident; 3) the external influences that intensified the conflict; and 4) the community-building lessons discovered in the aftermath.
