OSHR 3172 - The Original Star Trek and Polarized America: Parallel Universes (Perk Series Lecture)

  • Noncredit

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

When Star Trek premiered fifty-one years ago, it was no mere sci-fi show. The Enterprise crew, the Klingons, the Romulans, and many others represented late 1960’s players. Entire episodes were subversively designed to impact public opinion concerning fiercely divisive events. This presentation will provide both an overview of events from 1966-1969 and their Star Trek connections.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
