OSHR 3150 - Improvisation: How "Yes, and.." Can Reverse "No, but.." Thinking (Perk Series Lecture)

  • Noncredit
  • Fort Collins

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

This interactive two-hour workshop will introduce participants to the basic premise of successful theatrical improvisation: "Yes, and..." It is an improv rule-of-thumb that suggests that a player should accept what another player has stated ("yes") and then expand on that line of thinking ("and..."). Come experience how the fast and loose creativity of improvisation comedy can translate to our own lives by jumpstarting the power of positive thinking.

Please wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
