Senator Justin Smith Morrill (author of the Morrill College Land Grant Act) was also an instrumental participant and eyewitness to the passage of the incredibly important 14th Amendment to the Constitution which effectively has brought the most ‘equality, liberty and justice for all’ into our Constitutional order. Still, today, the Supreme Court uses this law to ascertain the liberties and rights of all individuals.

Guy J. Kelley

Guy J. Kelley currently teaches at Front Range Community College (Larimer Campus). Guy is a retired associate general counsel for Hewlett- Packard Company. He is a regent emeritus having served on the nine-member

Board of the University of Colorado system from 1993 to 1999, chairing the Board from 1994 to 1995. Guy is on the board of the Friends of the Library, Morgan Library, and Colorado State University (since 1998). He is also a member of the Fort Collins Civil War Roundtable.
