In 2013, Joannah Merriman walked nearly 800 kilometers across Spain, from the French Pyrenees to Santiago de Compostela. She was not a hiker, but was inspired to challenge herself with an opportunity completely out of her typical range of possibilities. In Autumn 2015, she again set out with her belongings on her back. This time her travels were on the Camino del Norte, a longer, more rugged hike, making her wonder how she ever got so over-confident!

Through photos and discussion, she will show you the spectacular Camino landscape on the Bay of Biscay, the waymarkers which keep walkers on the path, the albergues providing shelter each night, and some of the people she encountered on her journey. The Camino is not only a long walk across a country, but a metaphor for any life.
