Climate Change is Simple: The Earth’s climate is determined by the balance of heat coming in from the Sun and heat emitted back out to space. CO2 absorbs outgoing heat and warms the climate. Climate Change is Serious: A warmer climate will include rising seas, drier soils, more fires, and forced migrations of millions of people. Warming will last for many centuries after CO2 emissions cease.
Climate Change is Solvable: Decarbonizing the global economy is certainly feasible from an engineering and an economic perspective, though mustering the needed political will is challenging.
