While most of us recognize the names Charles Russell and Frederic Remington, many of us would be hard put to think of a western female artist (other than possibly Georgia O’Keefe). Women have painted and/or sculpted since the Renaissance. So, why should we wonder that women artists worked in the West for at least the past 150 years?
Come learn about painters such as Malvina Hoffman, Grace Carpenter Hudson, Catharine Carter Critcher, as well as others. Find out how these talented women contributed to Western art.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
