  • Fort Collins

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Returning local botanist, author, and entrepreneur, Don Eversoll, will present an easy-to-follow PowerPoint program demonstrating why heirloom vegetables continue to be the darling of Colorado gardeners. Highlights of his lecture/discussion include soil preparation, site selection, the most popular varieties, wise water use, all with a particular emphasis on heirloom tomatoes. Eversoll’s lectures continue to draw inspiration from his first book, Secrets from My Grandma’s Garden, now in its third printing.

Door prizes and samples of a delicious Italian spaghetti sauce and homemade pickles (with recipes) will again be available.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
