An exclusive, on-site tour of the exhibition Scrimmage that presents original works of art examining the quintessentially American sport of football. The exhibit features over 100 works of art from 34 public and private collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Yale Art Galleries, Warhol Museum, and the New York Public Library. Artists include Homer, Remington, Bellows, Benton, and Rauschenberg, among many others.

These artworks illuminate how football reflects themes central to the broader history of our country: class, race, gender, violence, and current concerns related to head injuries, spectatorship and media/celebrity culture.
