Northern Colorado’s population comprises many descendants of the original settlers invited by Catherine the Great to cultivate the lower Volga river region of Russia. Come hear about their history, heritage and struggles as well as CSU’s activities to preserve their inspiring story. Kenneth Rock (CSU professor emeritus, history) and Janet Bishop (associate professor and coordinator for CSU Archives and Special Collections) will present a program of insights into local history and heritage of this unique community.
