Dr. David Ames served as a faculty member at Kansas State and Colorado State in Animal Sciences. He was the head of Animal Sciences at CSU for 17 years. His research interests involved the impacts of weather on nutrient requirements of cattle. His weekend departures from academia offered fun but pressure-filled, high-profile experiences in a football stadium.
