Do you love to explore Colorado’s many trails and parks, but find yourself at a loss to recognize the plants you find along the way? Would you like to deepen your understanding of why plants grow where and how they do?
This course will teach you the basic skills you need to identify and appreciate the plants you will encounter on the trail this summer. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises, you will learn basic plant terminology, plant family characteristics, and identification strategies, as well as the ecological services and special features of our native wildflowers.
Get your brain and eyes in shape for the 2013 field season. After this course, you won’t look at plants the same way!
