This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Birdfeeding has grown from a casual wintertime pleasantry to a billion dollar year-round commerce, and that change has not come about without a few eye-openers. Feeding birds can be a health hazard not only to the birds themselves, but also to deer, bears, and people, especially pregnant women. Nevertheless, much of the birdfeeding information aimed at the general public does less to benefit the birds and more to enhance sales.

This class will segregate the facts from the nonsense and present the specific information needed to keep birdfeeding fun and safe for all involved.
