  • Noncredit
  • Loveland

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

This short course will present information on the wildlife and natural history of Colorado for the month of July.

Summer reaches its peak during July, and that peak reaches to the summits of Colorado’s mountains. The meadows below treeline and the tundra above treeline explode with nature’s craftsmanship of color, form, and texture, all expressed in the artistry of wildflowers. Hummingbirds crowd both the wildflower meadows and the sugar-water feeders.

Specific information about what to look for, where to look for it, how to find it, and when to explore will be discussed. Details about locations, access including fees, length of walks or hikes, roadside viewing, and available services will be covered. Learn what’s out there so you can plan into your own schedule when to pursue what specifically interests you.
