OSHR 1797 - Drawing for All Levels

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

This course is designed to teach the skills of drawing to students of all levels. For beginners, the course will cover composition, gesture, shadows and shading, use of color though a variety of subject matters. Students who have never drawn before will get comfortable with recording information on paper. They will learn how to measure in order to accurately draw what they see. Intermediate students will be using a variety of pencils, charcoal or pastels to create a drawing. We will be working from photographs and paintings as well as still-life’s. Advanced students are urged to bring in any medium they want to work in.

Individual goals for what each student will be accomplished on a one-on-one basis. People learn when they are relaxed, and this course is designed to be fun yet informative.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
