This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Come join us for a fun and entertaining introduction to the finer points of working in watercolor! Creating art is fun and expressive. It’s a great way to relax and play as magical images emerge from your brush. This class takes the fear out of painting. Your instructor will take you through a progression of concepts and exercises that result in finished images you can be proud of. Above all, you will make art that’s creative and expressive!

There will be demonstrations by the instructor that illustrate each of the structured lesson topics and plenty of one-on-one help during class painting time. There should be something for everyone in this class as students discover how to start painting with watercolor.

Instructors

Randy Hale

Randy Hale attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA where he developed a solid understanding of design and composition. A successful commercial career followed in product design, project management, and sales. Pitching creative concepts provided a strong foundation in working successfully with people. Randy is currently involved with art groups throughout the country. He has served as president of the Colorado Watercolor Society and works on boards organizing national exhibitions. Not only does Randy do painting demonstrations, he is an active workshop instructor and juror of art shows.
