If you have taken an artwork, photograph, poster or other object to a frame shop and were surprised by the price of custom framing, you may be motivated to learn some basic matting and framing skills. With relatively inexpensive tools, you can learn to cut attractive mats, cut glass and assemble a handsome project using ready-made frames.
This course provides short demonstrations of professional techniques followed by hands-on instruction centered on your professional framing projects. Cost-cutting tips, color, and design theory will be discussed with examples to assist you in making appropriate framing and matting decisions.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
