Colorado’s array of native tree species captivates artist and nature enthusiasts alike. Learn to capture their beauty on paper during a two-day course in basic drawing with the additional option of watercolor painting.
This course is for experienced artists and beginners alike. Transform your love of the outdoors by seeing it with an artist’s eye and learn to capture its beauty with your own hands as you draw!
- The first day you will learn to draw by breaking the trees down into simple shapes, a technique that was used by classical master draftsmen to simplify the drawing process and make it more precise.
- The second day will be devoted to creating artworks in graphite, ink and watercolor. This course is ideal for those interested journaling or plein air painting, since trees are often a challenging but appealing component of landscape compositions.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
