OSHR 1526 - Venturing into Space: What have we Accomplished?

In this course, we will explore humanity's current understanding of the universe in the context of various space missions and technologies. We will discuss topics such as solar dynamics through the SOHO satellites, lunar formation and composition from the pre-Apollo era to current lunar missions, experiments taking place on the International Space Station, the expanding universe through a number of space telescopes and ground-based observatories, and much more. In addition, we will talk about the big open questions in astronomy and related subjects that will hopefully be answered with proposed future technologies.
