This popular film studies class is back for a third round! Join Hollywood veteran filmmaker Trai Cartwright as she leads the conversation about a range of films that changed our culture and the industry of filmmaking. Our journey this time will explore the path of three of Hollywood's biggest directors who all started their careers at the same time and grew to be huge influences on one another: Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, and George Lucas.

First we'll watch "Jaws," then have a look at "Lincoln;" Marty's films will include "Mean Streets" and "Hugo;" and finally for Lucas, it's "American Graffiti" and "Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith." The connections between young and old endeavors will delight and amaze as we look closely at just how their artistic vision and relationships evolved.

See you at the movies!
