OSHR 1410 - Cinema du Jour

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Join us for film viewing and post-film discussion in the brand new Lyric Cinema Café. We will watch films with unique story lines and observe filmmaking techniques that often vary from the standard studio fare. After each cinematic adventure, we’ll gather together with fellow Osher participants for intriguing discussions of these thought-provoking films.

  • Movies may be subtitled and carry various ratings.
  • This is not a history of film course.
  • No class November 22

Joannah L. Merriman, M.A. is a community educator, writer, and psychotherapist. She is also a voracious reader and lover of good films, as well as facilitator for Osher’s "Cinema du Jour" course for the past several years. A member of three book groups, she is most interested in thoughtful discussion of material from both page and screen.
