This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

One poet describes the line between poetry and prose as akin to the moment rain shifts into snow. Yet we suspect that each form has particular strengths.

This four-week course with naturalist Kevin Cook and poet Veronica Patterson includes reading and discussing strong pieces of poetry and prose and experimenting deliberately with both. You’ll be invited to write one piece in each genre and discover new strengths in your work. You’ll have an opportunity to share your writing and discuss the insights gained and feedback from both instructors as desired.

New writers are welcome.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
