This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.
In her autobiographical essay, "A Sketch of the Past," Virginia Woolf writes, "What then has remained interesting? Again those moments of being. ... There was the moment of the puddle in the path"
Capturing your experience and thought vividly will be our key writing goal. You’re encouraged to write poetry, creative nonfiction (including memoir essays), and/ or fiction. Each week, we’ll write during class and consider effective pieces of writing. The instructor will offer writing prompts for your use, but you’re welcome to pursue writing you already have in mind or in motion.
The reading will be handouts, including prose and poetry by writers whose words illuminate moments and more. New writers are welcome.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
