Before we gather the fruits of writing, we need time to plant, water, fertilize, and prune wisely. Then what we harvest can be what we had hoped for: tasty, fragrant, juicy. But enough metaphor! Participants are encouraged to write poetry, creative nonfiction (including memoir essays), and/or fiction.
Each week we’ll write during class and consider effective pieces of writing. I will offer prompts for you to use, but you’re always welcome to pursue writing you already have in mind or in motion. I’ll draw on several elements of the recommended book, Writing Alone or With Others, which I think you’ll find useful.
New writers are welcome.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
