"It is not about what is the matter with you. Rather it is about what matters to you." - Atul Gawande in Being Mortal

This is an interactive course based on the issues of aging well discussed in Atul Gawande’s book, Being Mortal. Experts from the community will discuss topics such as: the social and biological issues of aging; memory and aging; personal values and choices for living well until the end of life; aging at home, assisted living and long term care and how to choose; health care choices including behavioral health, palliative and hospice care; and documenting end of life care. Active discussion between the participants and the experts will be an important aspect of this course.
