OSHR 1322 - Discover Fort Collins by Bicycle and Learn to be a Safer Cyclist

Explore Fort Collins by bicycle while learning safe riding skills, basic bike maintenance, and self-confidence.

Based on the main bicycle safety class of the League of American Bicyclists, this class is suited to beginning and advanced bicyclists. We will focus on handling skills, bicycling in traffic, and hazard avoidance maneuvers. Other topics include bicycle law, the most common causes of crashes as well as how to avoid them, and how to safely share the road. Basic maintenance needs such as changing an inner tube, adjusting brakes, and basic diagnostics will be covered.

The course will include suggestions on what bicycle to buy for your specific needs, fit and necessary equipment.
